Bill Analysis and Audit
We can reduce your business’s landline telecommunications costs by thousands of pounds, following a thorough audit of your landline billing. We are able to achieve these cost savings for you by:
- Checking whether your carrier is applying the correct rates across your whole landline estate
- Switching you to a better tariff or discount plan with your existing telecoms supplier
- Moving some or all of your calls to an alternative supplier
- Ensuring that you are charged only for services you are using
- Identifying redundant services (e.g. unused phone lines) you are still paying for
- Spotting misuse of your lines - intentional or not - by your employees or other parties
- Cutting down on unproductive or unnecessary calls.
In most cases these savings can be achieved transparently, with no disruption to your day-to-day operations and involving little effort on your part. And when inaccuracies or overcharging are found, Efftel will negotiate with the network operator on your behalf to recover the overcharged amount.
Our audit software enables us to perform an in-depth analysis of the itemised call details and other charge elements and to build a detailed call profile that will underpin any benchmarking or RFP activities.
We use specialist software to analyse your network operator’s electronic billing data. It is this that sets us apart from many non-specialist cost-reduction companies.
Audits are carried out in incremental stages to protect operational efficiency and to identify non-effective or redundant facilities as quickly as possible.
Private Circuits
Are you being overcharged for your private circuits?
Previous projects by Efftel have shown that companies with large numbers of BT private circuits are likely to be overpaying, due to billing errors and redundant services. Over time, circuits may become unused due to changes in location or technology, but they are often not ceased.
A recent project with a major UK clearing bank identified savings of hundreds of thousands of pounds due to factors like the incorrect application of discounts and mistakes in distance calculation on distance-related circuits.
In conjunction with our specialist software partner, Velec Communications, we have automated the task of correctly pricing up BT private circuits and identifying overcharges. We can process hundreds or thousands of circuits.
No longer having the labour-intensive task of pricing them manually, we are able to spend our time on identifying the causes of billing errors and making worthwhile recommendations.
